Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Vancouver Area

Intense Pulsed Light, or a photofacial, is a non-invasive laser treatment that erases years of skin damage.

Photofacials can take care of redness, rosacea, mottled pigmentations, age spots, large pores, freckles, and broken capillaries. Many conventional treatment options will only address a couple of these concerns at once, giving an IPL the advantage of being the true “all in one” option for your skin care goals.

What can I expect from IPL?

IPL can treat any concerns on the face, neck, chest, and hands. Our lasers are clinically shown to reduce wrinkles and improve the tone of the skin by non-invasively stimulating new collagen production.

After an IPL treatment, any spots or red bumps will turn dark and scab over. Over the course of seven to ten days, the scabs will flake off, revealing a more even complexion. By combining both IPL and Fractional laser treatments, we take care of noticeable coloration defects and also provide the skin with toning and textural improvement.

How does IPL work?

A high powered hand held device will produce an visible beam of broad spectrum light to the treatment area. The light spectrum produced by the handheld device is specifically chosen to target skin concerns such as capillaries, redness, etc. These imperfections absorb the light and will crust over and disappear within a few days after treatment.
