Latisse Vancouver Area

Unfourtunately, thinning eyelashes is part of our natural aging process. Fortunately, Latisse® is here to help.

What is Latisse?

Latisse® is applied once nightly on the top lash line to improve the thickness and length of eyelashes. The active ingredient in Latisse® is bimatoprost, which is actually a chemical used to treat glaucoma. Latisse® is an FDA approved prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate eyelashes) and is effective at helping lashes grow longer, fuller and darker.

What are the side effects of Latisse?

If you have already been directed to use bimatoprost to treat glaucoma, consult your doctor or pharmacist, and be sure to consult all inner patient leaflets in the medication. The most common side effect when using Latisse is eyelid skin darkening, much like wearing light brown eyeliner. This will be erased if you stop using Latisse. Although iris pigmentation was not reported in any clinical studies with Latisse, patients should be advised about the potential for increased brown iris pigmentation.
